Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the lack of updates. It has been hectic around here, plus I couldn't find my camera for about a week. (recently located by Bin, sitting on the bookshelf).
Not too much excitement although at the same time every day is eventful.
We had a very nice Shabbos, with the kids awake Friday night, with our break after the soup to get everyone into bed. MM has learned the parsha which he insists is called "doindos" ("Toldos"). He is very sure about this. Shaya also shared much on the parsha which was really nice, and enjoyed his Rebbe bringing in a real bow and arrow to show them how Eisav hunted. He also brought home a nice colored picture of Yaakov and Eisav, with Yaakov having payis and all!
We had three boys over from Bin's morning yeshiva, so I was quite outnumbered. The boys enjoyed having "so many Abbas" at the table.
In other news, Shaya is doing alright with aleph-beis, although we do A LOT of reviewing at home to help him keep up. Side benefit is that MM seems to be learning aleph beis as well, so that should be easier on us next year.
Yaakov Baruch has moved from the babysitter to "gan" for 1 1/2 year olds, which is essentially - a cheaper babysitter. It does involve actually leaving the house to drop him off, but its good to get some air anyway. Today he didn't even cry when I dropped him off.
MM's ENT felt that if he gets strep again he should be on a low-dose antibiotic for 2-3 months or have his tonsils removed. In an effort to avoid this, we are trying alternative medicine and accupuncture! (are you proud Bubbie?) He's not loving it, but we'll see if it worked. We're pretty desperate at this point.
Think that's about all...hope to post some pictures soon.
Weekly preview: Our first parent-teacher conference meeting tommorow with Shaya's rebbe. should be interesting! Drs. appointment for me. New glasses for Bin....

Weekend update
BH we had a very nice Shabbos this week.
Shaya and MM both made models of Avraham's tent, which were prominently displayed on the table. (We asked MM whose tent he made- us: " MM, who's tent is this?" MM: "Its MY tent, I made it in my gan" Us: But who lives in it? MM: "I do!, Its mine". maybe next year he'll get it.).
MM also learned the color "yarok" which of course, he explained as "red". So, MM has a way to go with the education piece, but he is still really really cute.
Shaya was able to tell us about the parsha very nicely as well, noting that Avraham and Sara had a new baby named "Yitzchak Avinu".
We had 4 seminary girls over friday night (shabbaton in the neighborhood). Ben is still recovering.
Shabbos morning I took the kids to a kiddush next door where they each grabbed as much as they could before heading back home. Then we had Ben's morning chavrusah, Mike, over for lunch. He enjoyed this much more. Yaakov Baruch is very into Mike and spent a lot of time climbing on him. bH Mike seems to be kid-friendly as well.
Ben was very very nice and let me take both a morning and afternoon nap to try and finally get rid of this cold.
After a quick trip to the park, the boys were all in pjs by havdalah and quickly into bed after that.
Weekly preview: MM finally has his ENT appt for his persistant strep, Shaya has speech, YB has an OT evaluation. I am working on my paper and Ben has begun studying for his next bechina (beginning of March). Shaya's class is having a "kibud av v'eim" project for the next 3 weeks, wherein they learn all about honoring parents and we have to send in special notes every day saying how he did kibud av v'eim. This is very good for bribing him to listen to us...For every note they get a treat and at the end there is a big party and prizes...
Have a great week!

yah right. I HATE BEING SICK!! POOR POOR ME!

Now I'm sick:(
Sad to report that I have a terrible cold!
Even sadder to say that no one seems to care!
As if a cold is not a real illness! Its a very, very bad, real illness!
I can't breathe! I can't sleep! I can't stand it!
(don't worry, no fever or signs of flu, bH)
Sympathy may be posted below.
Thank you.
